About CIOKS DC10 Power Supply

DC10 is a member of CIOKS brand new professional range of dedicated multi-output power supplies for effect pedals.  It has 10 regulated and well filtered DC outlets configured in 8 isolated sections.  With a total of 1.600mA it's a perfect solution for bigger rigs only with pedals using a DC power source.  Its three powerful sections with 400mA each will power pedals with special requirements like those from TC Electronic Nova series, Eventide Factor series, MoogerFoogers, Radial Tonebone or others without the need of custom cables.  Selectable with a switch DC10 offers voltages 9, 12 and 15V DC, and combined with one of the included Stack Flex also 18 and 24V DC.  The first 4 outlets offering 4x100mA are perfect for standard 9V battery operated pedals.

Like most contemporary Strats, the Fat Strat features a lightweight, "comfort contoured" alder body which has actually changed very little since the first Strats rolled off the production lines in 1954. However, this new version has shielded body cavities for quieter operation and reduced hum, which is particularly important with single-coil pickups - they sound great but could get a bit noisy at times.

While there's no denying the fact that Leo Fender's guitar designs were an amazing blend of art and engineering, it was the erroneously named synchronized tremolo (it's actually a vibrato) that may well have been his most inspired bit of engineering. Even though Fender has continued to improve upon the tremolo, many players simply prefer the look and feel of the original. The Stratocaster® was the first production line guitar with three pickups, and that basic configuration is just as popular today as it was in 1954. While the Fat Strat has three pickups, only two are the original single-coil design. In time, those blond maple necks became a Fender trademark. In keeping with contemporary tastes, this Strat has the modern "C" shape maple neck with a satin polyester finish.

Kendang - Javanese Drums

Kendang/Javanese Drums

Kendangs are smaller then a Bedug.  There are usually three to four Kendangs in a gamelan.  These drums are in different sizes, however, they are all of similar barrel shape.  Both heads of each drum are covered with a skin, usually from goat or buffalo.  Each drum has two different sizes of head, one is bigger then the other.  The larger head, which produces the lower sounds, is usually placed to the player's right.

Kendangs are cradled in small wooden stands.  Sometimes, the smallest drum, Kendang Ketipung is held in the lap of the drum player.  The player uses his hands to play the drums.  Usually the drums has a relatively easy part with a few strokes and uncomplicated rhythm.

The names of these drums from the largest to the smallest are: Kendang Gending,  Kendang Wayangan, Kendang Ciblon, and Kendang Ketipung.

Function
The kendhang player shoulders a great deal of responsibility in the gamelan, for the role of the kendhang is to establish and maintain the tempo, to lead the gamelan through all tempo changes within a piece of music, to decide whether or not to move immediately from one piece of music into another without stopping, and to signal the end of each piece. The kendhang ageng can be played together with the kendhang ketipung by the same player, an arrangement known as kendhang kalih, or it can be played alone by one person, known as kendhang satunggal or kendhang satu. Compared to the ciblon and wayang, this kendhang is played with relatively little ornamentation and is characterized by very deep, resonating sounds.
